ABOUT ME

My uncle, my sister and my niece are all writers. Some long, lost distant relative owned a newspaper and was its editor. I have always wanted to write a novel. My uncle, a ninety four old priest, wrote two books in his retirement.  He encouraged me to ‘just do it’.

He told me four things: write what you know; every life’s worth a book; write it real and change the names to protect the innocent as well as the guilty.

90% of what I write is either something I’ve experienced or something someone I’ve known has experienced – the drugs; the schizophrenia; the infidelities, the betrayals, the murders and the suicides – unfortunately are real.

    “Just write it real.”
